Do i add friction mod to both axles?

Getting ready to change the gear lube in the differentials. Book says to add friction mod to the rear axle. (yeah I know pretty easy) Question is does it also need to be added to the front axle if four wheel drive? I thought it would only be in the rear for the LS but the book did not mention that. So does it go in both or just one?

Just the rear, if LS.

And - if you use certain brands of rear diff fluid, you don't need to add the stuff, as it's already incorporated (e.g Royal Purple 75w-140 synthetic)

Its available at some places locally. I can get gear and engine oil at Consumer Auto Parts, and the local Advanced Auto Parts carries the engine oil only I think. Depends on the area.

Well, our local speed shop ( such as it is - Performance Improvements) - sells the stuff for $8.99CDN, So I'd imagine if we Canuckians can buy it OTC, you can too.

Check RP's web site for the Dealer locator tool.

bubba

BTW - off-topic - PI is selling the I/C 5psi RouchCharger for $7,199
