Exclamation regearing for 37/38" tires

Hey, Im building up a 1992 F150 4x4 Inline 6 automatic....

Im lifitng it 6 inches suspension and 3 inches body, Im going to put 37s or 38 on it and I have a regearing question..

The stock gearing is 3.08 on it! I know thats tooooo small!

What gearing should I go with? and what can I get without changing axles, etc.

-Keep in mind that this is for my wife and she wont be doing any serious offroading or performance type driving in it...its just for show.

Any help would be appreciated!

Roger

Assuming stock tire size was 28"... 4.56 would put you back to it from 3.08's. I'd go for the 4.88's myself though.

Exclamation

thanks! Are those stock ford sizes that will fit in my truck's current houings or do I have to get straight axles and new housing??
(obviously the back is already a straight axle...lol)

ALSO, what size rear end would be in this truck? 8.8 inch or 9 inch or ????? lol Motors and electronics are for me, but as for this suspension and gearing stuff, I turn to the "experts" lol ...

HEY! also, how did you calculate the gear ratio needed to get back to the stock 4.08 ??
