T-case shifter rattle
Hey guys, I have an 02 4.6 5sp 4x4 with manual t-case. I'm getting a rattle/buzzing noise from the transfer case shifter. The noise gets louder as RPMs increase, its also fairly noticeable at highway speeds. If I pull the shifter to the left just enough to take it off its stop the noise goes away. I'm thinking it must be a missing isolator or worn bushing, something like that. I looked at the shifter from underneath the truck and don't see anything obvious. Just wondering if anyone else has run into this or if its common. Any input is appreciated, thanks.

My truck does the same thing. It's just the metal shaft rattling against the plastic trim on the floor. When it starts doing it I just pull the shifter to the left and wedge some of the rubber boot between the shaft and the trim and it stops. It'll usually be fine until I engage 4wd again.
Out of curiosity, do you have a body lift? Mine didn't start doing this until I messed with the shifter to install my body lift.
