how to replace sertine belt ?

i have a 2000 f150 4.6 v8 . how do i replace the serptine belt . any and all help is appreciated . thanks

Should be just like mine...

use a 1/2" drive ratchet or breaker bar and insert it into the hole for it on your tensioner pulley. This should be on the left side of the drive pulley, behind the fan shroud (either wear a long sleeved shirt, or be ready to cut your arm jamming it into the space...not a lot of room)

force the tensioner away from the belt

remove old belt making a note of it's routing (if you dont have a drawing, make one), or check out jbrew's pics for a routing diagram

route new belt just like old belt

rotate the tensioner pulley just like you did to remove the old belt.

slip the new belt on.

I am having a problem getting the tensioner to move, let me know if yours moves easier...
