was super snowy last night and was driving around on the roads in 4x4

stopped to get gas and noticed when I jumped out of truck I noticed smell from under the truck

assuming it's either the tranny fluid in the transfer case heating up or the gear lube in the front diff.

is this normal - should I check something - what do u guys think

 

Crawl under and look for any evidence of fluid leakage - something might be dripping on the exhaust and making a smell. Check the fluid levels in the tranny, TC, diffs, radiator, and engine oil.
