I know there is a code on the tag of your rear differential but mine has been painted over so i cannot tell which gears my truck has..I have seen where people say its listed in your door jam..If possible can some one post a picture of the code and how do i know which code represents which type of gear I have? Thanks alot!

 

Look for the axle code on the sticker - it will be 2 digits. 19 is a 3.55 open, H9 is a 3.55 limited slip. If it's something else, Google it - "ford axle code xx"
