was it diffacult? Ive never worked on rear ends b/f but my dad has unfortunaly he is out of town this week so I have to wait for this sat.

 

to be honest it wasn't hard at all (knocking on wood) i did grab a Haynes manual for $17 which tells ya step by step.! with the manual, both seals, gasket maker, LS addative, brake cleaner and 3 qts. of mobil 1 synt. fluid it cost me just under $100.... i called a few places and they wanted anywhere from $180 to $230 per side. Thanks again guys!! and hope i did it correct or i'll be stranded somewhere between here and IN......

 

I would definetly use silicone for the rear diff cover gaskets never last

 

i was quoted $100 for 1 side at the place i have my work truck serviced-would i be better off doing both sides if only one side is leaking? the drivers side is fine

 

well considering the fluid is 90% of the cost you mise well do both sides!! would be a damn shame to spend the money again in a few months when the other one starts leaking..??!! just my 2 cents.
