Another option is to get in on the good side of some guys from a local 4x4 club. I'm installing my own (gear install virgin myself) but have great friends from my club who are going to help. Throw a gear install bbq or something, provide some cold brew, some hot burgers etc
and don't worry man. gearing is something that makes even the best mechanic nervous if he is not familiar with. There is a lot "myth" floating around with a gear install that gets people nervous (myself included). After doing it yourself you realize, it wasn't hard, you just need to be exact !! You can do it.

wherever you take it ask to see there diff tools if they do not have a clamshell bearing remover http://eastcoastgearsupply.com/i-131...ng-puller.html then they are not for real and would take it elsewhere. then ask what the pinion preload should be on your diff and see what they say. anybody who has a clue will say "I don't know around 10-20 inch lbs i would have to check. somoeone who does not have a clue will say Uh ill have to look it up or say oh o have been doing this long enough i go by feel. if they sya they have to look it up just ask for a range any decent diff guy can get reasonably close which wouls be 10-20inch lbs in any 1/2 ton axle and 25-50 in any heavier duty axles.
