Drip

I found a puddle of oil/fluid on my driveway this morning and noticed that my transmission pan and the whole area is covered with oil/fluid. Does anybody know what the problem might be? She's got 150,000 miles and transmission rebuilt 50,000 miles ago.

Is it transmission fluid or engine oil?

I'm not sure, but it was a dark colored black or brown liquid.

You have to figure out which. Check your fluid levels. If it's engine oil, it could be the rear main seal.

It looks to be transmission fluid that is leaking. I guess I should go ahead and call a tranny company?

Tranny fluid should be red - what does yours look like on the dipstick?

I went ahead and took it in this morning and turns out I had a bad gasket somewhere. They are going to fix it for $100. Should have it back tonight.
