97 4X4 issue!

I read through the posts here and my problem is different! When I turn my 4X4 switch it doesn't light up and there is no sound at all coming from the front hub?

I checked both fuses and they are good!

Any suggestions would be appreciated..

Hmm... Well sometimes mine does not engage right away. I need to drive a lil bit for it to kick in. Have you tried that?

a common problem on these is the transfer case shift motor will go bad or freeze up and will bind and not work may need a new motor or your switch is bad and not commanding it for 4wd
