Front Axle shifts backwards

I bought a 98 F150, it seems the front shift accatuator works backwards, shifts in the axle at 2wd and out for 4wd, it looks like there is a junction in the lines half way fron the selenoids and the accuator when the tubes are joined together they are rolled, is that normal or has someone tried for a repair and used the wrong year to do it and I need a differen't pair of tubes??? thanks, Larry

Blue to blue, red/pink (faded = pink?) to red. red sits on inside of actuator?
blue on outside of actuator?

And what ever you do, DON'T go by Fords diagram. Ford Motor has their vac line Diagram backwards for the 97-98 +. Pink and Blue are REVERSED. You must switch them to correct.
