WOW!!!! New gears ROCK.

Just got pass the break -in miles on my new set of Yukon 410's, and man what a difference. The truck came with 355's and factory 20's so it like to idle at 80mph .

I pull a 4500 box trailer every day for work and it is night and day difference now. The truck dont down shift as much , the wind dont mess with me either. Just wanted to say thanks to everyone for the info and guidance, to do this mod.

can i ask ya where you got em and how much they ran you? i am lookin to upgrade my tires to some 285/75/16s in the near future and afterwards im gonna want to regear to 4.10s i got 3.55s now and they barely cut it stock. i looked round on the net and can only find the rear gears not fronts too. (4x4) i found a nice set of 4.10s from a reputable dealer for bout 150 so im figurin with fronts should cost me bout 350 to regear it.

Yea np, I live in north louisiana and had them put in at Louisiana Offroad. It was 1005 bucks tax and all. I dropped it off at 8 and picked it up at 4. Have over 1000 miles on them now with no noise and when i changed fluid the other day it was wearing perfect.

On a side note, a freind of mine took his to the local "stealership" it was $2300 and took them 5 days , When he asked what was taking so long they said they were waitn on pinion depth tool to come in., something you think the dealer would have on hand. May not be that way at all dealers but my local one is a bunch of goofballs......

$1000 for just a rear axle sounds a bit high, it should be closer to $800. $2300 is ridiculously high even for front AND rear axles on a 4x4.
