Additional Traction

Would it be worth it (cost v. benefit) to put a ls diff in my 1999 Expedition? I have a heavy 23 ft boat and want more traction on the ramp and on gravel roads. I have a 3.31? C now.

I guess it depends on how much you want one.

I upgraded my '04 F-150 Heritage to a LS and I'm glad I did because now I don't have to drive my F-250 V-10 4X4 every time it snows. With LS the F-150 is much better in snow and I don't drive the F-250 unless we get a lot of snow.

If you want to change your gearing that would be the time to do it (both LS & gear swap). I kept mine at 3.55.
