4.56 gears

well, depending on which brand you choose, you can look at up to 2500.00 for a shop to install both sets, with the install kits and fluids.
now, if you do it yourself like i did, you can get out of it for abuot 1000.00 (give or take a little).
i went with yukon brand, since they are very highly recommended, and so far i am happy. the truck drives MUCH better with 4.56 compared to the stock 3.55 that i had.

Ask Wayne at diffsonly.com He will get you a killer deal on Yukon parts and really fast shipping.
Here are the parts
Rear - F9.75
YG F9.75-456
YK F9.75-B
Front - F8.8IFS
YG F8.8R-456
MK F8.8
Cost me less than 650$ US for all this SHIPPED across the border ( I live in Canada) and install cost me 500$ CDN
The rear might not be the exact parts you need as I have an FX4 (9.75). You probably have an 8.8 rear (10 bolts pattern cap).

If your mechanically inclined, do it yourself, you'll get your parts for around 900. If your not, just bite the bullet, and pay the money.
I was going to install mine myself, but there is a margin of error I didn't want to play with, and the shop that installed mine gave me a 30000 mile warranty on my gears.
And you'll love the 4.56's, it was the best 1600 I ever spent.

i just got a quote from a differential/drivetrain specialist that has already rebuilt my rear end once and it has held up great so far. He quoted me $1250 for the 4.56 gears with labor and everything. At first he said $1500 and i told him i didnt couldnt do that much that much so he worked with me a little. I will probably be taking it in sometime next week to get it done. Thanks guys
