I can't believe theres no one to offer any tips on this???? I know its way up in there and the correct install tool would be best but for one time job, it woundlt' be worth the $$$. Has any one used a brass drift puch to carefully work the race around a little at a time? its got around 38k and I have a large OTC puller so i'm thinking about just reusing that big brg if of course its looks perfect. Then I will have 3 brg/cup sets for sale that i've bought. Actuall 2 since i'm using one to hone out for a set up brg. any suggestions let me know...rossford

For $200.00 I can have a local Ford mechanic install gears. Why would I bother to get my hands dirty. I would not recommend a drift as you do not want to concentrate the force on such a small area of the circumference. Aluminum could deform as you tighten or tap it. Can you rent the tool locally?
