Any one running a Truetrac 913a477 in 04+ trucks??

A friend of mine needs to add an lsd to his truck and I was wondering if anyone here is running the truetrac for the 9.75 rear end in a 04-08 truck.

I have one. Does wear down the tires faster. You can really hear it grab in the turns if you give it some gas. If the ARB was out when I put mine in I would of went that route though.

Something isn't right there.....you shouldn't be wearing tires and you shouldn't hear it grab at all...mine doesn't.....you might want to call EATON and talk to them..something isn't right. What are you using for fluid in the rear?/

Truetrac=GOOD

I've had a truetrac in my truck for 3+years now. The only problem, my urge to get on the gas pedal has increased, and so has my tire wear-but this is completeley avoidable.

I've had my TrueTrac since March of 09. I love it. I run the fluid Eaton told me to run and I've never had an issue. Thought I did, but that was the transmission.

Isn't the true track a tor-sen design.
That is the best for all rounder if you ask me. Normal driving like and open diff, only if torque difference (like one tier is slipping) it start working. so it shouldn't wear the tiers. and thy are maintenance free only Chang the oil every now and then, and Liv for ever. thy should be quiet i have driven a few cares withe tor-sin diffs non mad any nose or felt any engagement. it is transparent.

How does adding a Tru-Trac or other locker affect the traction control on the newer F-150s? Is there some reprogramming needed, or will the computer automatically adjust to the new paradigm of going from open differential to limited slip or fully locked?

I've been reading through the many posts about limited slip differentials, lockers, and such, but haven't come across that item yet.

That's just what I was hoping to hear. Thanks!

I think Randy's Ring & Pinion will be getting an order from me very soon...
