Post Gear Recommendation

Hello ! I have a 97 F150 Auto 4.6L with 3.55:1 gears in the rear and she's a flarside. I have the following mod's - 3" suspension lift, 305/70/16 tires, Superchip, and FPIK on her and I am still not happy. Ever since I increased my tire size I have noticed a major diff in her...She can't hold a gear up hills or no big grunt like I want. I am gonna put 4.10's in the rear but my question is who do you guys recommend for a high quality brand to buy? I have a shop I got a quote from 2 months ago who would do the whole job..including parts for $500.00 . Is this good?

Thanks

You should be able to get 4.10 from FMS, but you could also call Randys Ring and Pinion.
They have the lowest prices, the use American made gears and they won't b.s you just to make a sale.

You can talk to Darin at ext 555, he was real helpful the times i've had questions.

Is your truck a 4wd or a 2wd? I am assuming it's a 2wd and $500.00 is what most of the guys in here are paying for a regearing. Close to $800.00-900.00 for a 4wd (parts and labor).

I will be doing regearing later after installing new tires (35's).

Silverback,

Could you post a pic of your truck with the lift and tire changes? I'm thinking about a similiar setup (3" suspension and larger tires) myself.

Thanks
