Gears

Alright since I'll be running 37s I want to swap out the gears to get it running right. I know I want to run 4.88s but what is a good brand? Yukon is what I've been reading. How do I know what axles to get? It is a 4x4. Simply put can someone line me out for what I need.

Thanks

Yeah I would definately run 4.88. I have yukons and love them, a lot of people on here run them with no trouble. Im not sure on the axle, mine is a 9.75 but we have different years. It might be the same

www.diffsonly.com has very reasonable prices, most people give them a shout and they will hook you up with everything you need. I am ordering from them shortly some 4.56 gears, install kits and maybe a new mag hytec pan.

X2 with diffsonly.com give wayne a call and he will get you set with gears.

if your truck has the 5.4 then you have the 9.75 rear end.

go with yukon gears

I don't think he will need the install kit since its a newer truck, they usually only recommend that for trucks over 100,000 miles

I can vouch for AccuAutoparts.com
I bought my 4.88's from them, as well as Yukon axleshafts for my 9.75. I researched the axle tag on my rear end, and the forums at their site was able to confirm the parts I needed. Shipped to me in reasonably good time, considering I live a bit north of nowhere.
