01 2wd rear end switch questions

Hi Fellas;
Been searching around the site, lot's of knowledge. Got a couple questions. F150 4bt cummins 5 speed manual, I have a rear axle code 27 I printed a code list from this site and code 27 and 28 are missing? I know its open but curious about the ratio?
Anyway found a code H9 limited slip 3.55 at a pull-it yard (cheap). but I can turn 1 wheel with just minor drag? Is that how the ford limited slip works? does it engage under load or should I not be able to spin 1 wheel by hand? also is it a major pain to change drum brakes over to the disks brakes my truck already has?
Thanks; John

Axle 27 is 3.31 open. You should not be able to turn one wheel on a LS by hand, the clutches are shot.
