New Front Ring & Pinion...Break In and Oil Chnage???

So I finally changed the gears in the front, but want to get an opinion on something. When you read up on break in procedures and stuff, it almost completely applies to the rear. The front never gets warm enough to comply with those procedures. I've driven some 40 odd miles since the swap and the front axle is cold to the touch. So, just curious what drives a proper "break in" for the front axle.

And in conjunction with this, what about changing the oil?? Normally, you'd change the oil out after about 500+ miles or so. I've got 1 year old Amsoil in the front axle with zero abuse on it. Should I still swap it out after XXX miles even though the front never gets warmed up or exposed to any type of extreme break in procedure.

I wouldn't worry about it. I haven't changed mine since I got new gears about 20,000 miles ago and they seem fine, I did the rear at 500 and thats it.

Kinda what I was planning. Wasn't going to waste two good, almost brand new quarts of 75W90 ExtremeGear for no reason!

Galaxy, do you have any pic's? I'm running MT/R's too, but 285/75R16's on stock rims.
