Ford Differential Interchange

What other Ford differentials are interchangeable with the 2001 F150 (Expedition)?

What size rear end is normally in these trucks 8.8, 9? Mine is just a V6 XL long bed.

I think the 8.8 is most likely the rearend in your truck...it's the smallest, weakest option I know of. Beyond that, any axle option for your body style should be a bolt in swap.

Do F150 4 X4 uses the 8.8 and same driveshaft/yoke as the 2wd? I've found one locally with a 3.55 out of a 2000 pretty cheap.

F-150 rear axle will not bolt up to an Expedition. Leaf springs on truck, coils on Expedition.
