Thanks for the help, guys. I got to messing around with it this weekend and popped the hubcap off. The aluminum cap over the hub nut was loose. I pulled it off, turned it about 1/2 a turn and stuck it back on. It fit a lot tighter but I expect the stuff they put on it to keep it from coming loose will wear off. I have to figure out what will hold that on. The noise from the back was in the tailgate. I sprayed the latches and every other moving part on the gate with WD-40 and it took care of the noise. It's not making any more noise and not annoying me anymore. Thanks again.

kkirt1 - THANKS!! - your suggestion on the retainer was right on. I popped the cover off and there sat the little bugger, just as loose as you please. I bent the little fingers in a tad and put it back on, NO JINGLE!. Perfect - another annoying sound gone. Thanks again.

I tried bending the fingers down but couldn't get it tight. I fixed it so it stopped (for now). I'm going to get some silicone and smear a little around the inside of the cap. That oughta hold it for a while.

Being a Ford mechanic I have run across this jingling a couple times. Pull off your front centercaps. There should be a cotter pin staring back at you. Remove the cotter pin and the thin metal cover for the retaining nut. There is some goo, or there should be some goo that is supposed to keep it from jingling. Dab some silicone or something similar into the metal cover and reinstall with a new cotter pin. Once the silicone sets your jingle will be gone! I would be very surprised if it was something other than this.
