cloudy gear oil

Drained front differential to switch to Amsoil. The factory gear oil was cloudy, light grey and not a heavy gear oil odor. I have only 950 miles and never submerged the drive train. Is the factory oil a cloudy color?

This is probably normal. One of the automakers put out a TSB on this a couple months ago. The cloudiness most likely came from the white gear marking compound they use to check and adjust the gears at the factory.
