Post '92 F150 rearend

I was looking for information last night on what kind of rearend I had on my truck. My T code said H5. According to a chart posted here it says that I have 4.10 limited slip diffs. Currently I am running Futura 235/75R15 baloney skins. Since hunting season is coming around and a lot of the places I need to get to are back in the bush, how would running 31x10.50s affect my truck since I do have 4.10s.?

I think you'll be fine. You need to find how tall you tires are to know how much differance there will be (i think it will be small, 31's are small truck tires). It would be good find out the actual size of 31's. To figure the effect on your gearing you should:
(Old tire height/ New tire height) * 4.10= your effective gear ratio
If you stay within 5-10% you most likely wont notice any differance in truck performance.

Thanks for the reply! I really don't want to put a hurting on anything because I need my truck healthy for the next few months.
Question: does that * mean multiply by 4.10?

I've got 31's and 3.55 gears, works great! I can even do really steep stuff if I use 4-lo. BTW, I've got Dunlop Radial Rover RV tires, which Consumer Reports gave high marks for everything but snow and ice. Good price, too.
