Motive 4.56's, Detroit True trac installed! :)

Had my gears installed last Thursday, and am happy to report good results. I had an open 3.55, with 35" KM2's. As you know, that causes lots of shifting in and out of overdrive and worse gas mileage. My truck feels alot more "like a truck" now, and I like it a lot. Long climbs are so much easier, off the line better, and tranny feels like it has better shifts. I did have my Gryphon updated with new parameters for 35" tires, and that works well too. Highly recommend it. Detroit true-trac also works as advertised. I used to roast the inside tire going around corners if I wanted. Now, she just chirps the tires, hooks up and GOES!!! By the way, no gear whine at all with the Motive's. Really like the installer who did them. PM me if you are in the Omaha area and need a reference.

Calculator -> http://4lo.com/calc/gearratio.htm

Transmission ratio in OD is 0.7 with the TC locked up, and transfer case ratio is 1.0.

Based on his tires being 35" and OD ratio of .7

at 65mph = 1991 rpm
at 55mph = 1685 rpm

Yep, those numbers look about right from what I was looking earlier, give or take a little for throttle input, load on the engine, etc...
