I have a 97 f150 with an 8.8 open reared with drum brakes.
I also have an 8.8 out of a 2001 f150 with disc brakes and ls diff.

I would like to install the newer rear in my 97. The only problem is that the newer rear has the larger wheel studs. Will the axle shafts out of the 97 drum brake rear work in the newer rear with the disc brakes .
I know I would have to re-drill the rotors for the smaller studs.
