Question Squeaking noise while in Reverse???

Ok Guys I need some help. When I put my truck into reverse and drive there is a high pitch squeaking noise coming from the rear. It doesn't do it when I go forward only backwards. So I am really confused. Could it be a U joint? Ok thanks. Any info will help.

Check the u-joints!! They tend to make noise when backing up before they make it going forward. If you have greaseable ones grease them otherwise take the load off the shaft and check for play. It is sometimes very hard to tell if they are bad or not until they get really bad. That is definitely the first place to start looking. If nothing else have someone else back the truck up slowly while you stand outside and listen carefully to try and pinpoint the origin of the noise very carefully.
