Front axles on F150??

I noticed today while having the tires rotated and balanced that the front axles turned when I turned the wheels. Is this normal? I am concerned as I used the truck to pull a Lime buggy a couple days ago and had to do some serious 4 wheeling. Afterwards I felt a little vibration at about 60mph while running on the highway. I got on the grass and had my grandson watch the front wheels as I spun the back ones and they did not spin. I guess I am OK? What you think?
The truck is a 2001 5.4L supercrew, 4WD, Automatic.

Yes sirr you are fine all 97-03 f150s have center axle disconect instead of disconnecting at the hub like the 04- present f150s. Basicly to cut things short the cv axles are suppose to spinn all the time. the vibration could be a cv shaft going bad due to the serious 4 wheelin u did.

Front axles on F150??

Thanks Steven, I "rocked" them pretty good as well as the drive shafts and couldn't find any slack. However I did find a bad spot on a half worn rear tire that could be doing it.
