Exclamation Coil Replacement DG508-STRIKER COILS

i had a bad miss at low RPM were my whole truck/engine would shake badly.
i found these coils on ebay and now my truck runs better then new with them installed.
anything on ebay one must be skeptical and the are listed for mustangs only but i took the plunge anyway. the coils are like msd blaster knock-off that claim 10-15% more output and there red to match my truck. the were less than $99 shipped which is like the price of 1 from the dealer. i assume they will burn out quicker given they run hotter. only time will tell. so far i can vouch for them

anybody with a miss/sputter they cant find i recommand replacing the coil/plugs first if you didnt already know.

We've been recommending the OEM style Ebay coils from Uneek and Global for quite a while now.

yeah i ordered to 2 sets of them already. one for my truck and one for my dads truck. he has a lot of problems with the coils going bad. i got my local mechanic buying them now too.

i thought id be different and try the 'strikers' out this time. they match my truck and are only a couple extra bucks and claim more output, not that thats needed but its piece of mind.

you cant go wrong with the globals. i heard they have a good return policy. never needed to find out though. fords markup is utterly ridiculos. 8 for the price of 1. i dont think the mc are any better. they still go bad

2005? 4.6's take DG508, 5.4's take DG511, 4.2 V6's use a coil pack and wires.

Search Ebay for DG508 or DG511, look for the sets of 8 or 10 from Global Automotive or Uneek Supply.

2005 4.2 M50D... How much would cost be roughly to do coil pack, wires, and plugs? Took my truck to my local dealer this morning, they wouldn't even take a look at it, told me $109 to have a diagnostics reading but my CEL isn't even on Thinking of just undertaking the job myself, shouldn't be very hard at all.

Rockauto.com -

Motorcraft SP-504 plugs - $3.26 each
Motorcraft WR-6117 wire set - $37.79
Motorcraft DG-532 coil pack - $69.79

Not difficult, but unstringing and restringing the wires around the back of the engine to the driver's side can be tight. Coil pack is on the passenger valve cover. Make sure to use a bit of dielectric grease in the boots at both ends.

Wow man, thanks for the direction! Just ordered my parts, hopefully they'll be here soon and i'll then get it done. $135 shipped, not too bad, rockauto has good prices, i've dealt with them before! Appreciate your help glc!

Just changed the Plugs on my 2002 Mountaineer and everything went just fine except still had misfire. After doing some testing i found i have a bad Coil Pack. After reading here about Global Automotive i did some searching and found 8 coil packs from Global Automotive for under $70.00. I called them on Monday the 28th and ordered the set being told i would have them by Friday or Saturday. Well here it is Saturday and did not get coil packs. Maybe they will here on Monday????. I was going to buy them from mapdistributers but since i was able call Global and they told they had sold several of these and been in business several years i decided to order from them thinking they would be the best. Wish now i had ordered from someone else and most likely would have had by now. VERY POOR SHIPPING IN MY OPINION. Hope the product is better than their shipping. Just thought i would warn others who might be needing parts.

If you want stuff right away, you need to pay the price.
