weck: Do tell about the gear swap. I haven't read anybody's post on installation of these gears (create a new topic if you want - if you haven't.) You know, how much, bought where etc...

Thumbs up

I run 33's with 410's and it works quite well. your speedo will be a little faster than you are actually going. mine matches to within 1 mile so yours will a little faster. MPG change was minimal for me.

Cool

the gear swap took a full day down at the local tranny/gear shop. I started with 3.55's (I think) and went to 4.10's. Since I also had posi added as well the cost was close to $1500. gears are made by some outfit called auburn performance gears. The swap can be much cheaper I'm told by using the same carrier ($800 to $1000) and skipping the posi. I figured what the heck it's only money, so I went for the whole package.

WECK
There is a TSB on the stinkin air conditioner. All the dealer would do is spray some smell good in the vents.

Buy a can of Lysol disenfectant (your wife will know about this for house cleaning). After your days running around is over spray a liberal amount into each of the a/c vents an leave it alone. The next day you should have killed off much of the bacteria that causes the musty odor.

The dealer here sold my friend a can the size of about 4 ounces of some stuff to do the same thing. The Lysol will go a long way.

Regarding musty AC odor, picked this up from a magazine sometime back. Turn on your ac air, and from OUTSIDE of your truck, spray Lysol into the air vents so that it gets sucked in and this should take care of your problem.
I have not had a chance to try it out yet, since I just got my truck last week, but after getting a whiff of my AC odor, I am going to do it real soon. Also I have been checking out F150 online since last week and gotta say it is a goldmine with a lot of good info.

Future mods:
JL Audio 10' sub for center console, upgrade stock speakers, gibson exhaust, super chip, tonneau cover, brush guard, nerf bars, bug deflector, and EQ.
Said I wouldn't do it again, but what the heck, here I go, again!
