i have a 03 f 150 4x4 supercrew that the 4x4 does not work. Lets begin: When i start the truck i hear several clicking sounds in the dash that was not there before. When i switch the on dash selector switch to 4 HI nothing happens nor does the light come on. When i switch it to 4 LO nothing happens again and still no 4x4. But when i start the truck with the switch in 4 HI or 4 LO the clicking sound is not heard and still no lights or no 4x4.
Ok hear is the kicker: If i turn the truck off put the selector switch in 4 HI then re-start the truck the dash light shows up, but still no 4x4. so if i turn the truck back off and put the selector switch in 4 LO and re-start the truck i hear the "CLUNK" noise in the transfer case and i have 4x4 but it seems to be jump in and out.
I have checked for vac line leaks, but have not found any
I have checked power at the 2 solneoids behind the battery box and they have 14 volts with the truck running, also look for cracks and they look fine.

This is about to drive me crazy. Please someone help.
