Finally going to regear

I just purchased a G2 4.56 ring and pinion with master install kit and a G2 limited slip to replace my 3.55 open rear 8.8. Is there anything else that I would need besides the lube?

I was looking at getting a locker. Coming from an open rear to limited slip will suffice for now though. If I need more I'll just get that when the time comes.

So the shop I have my truck in says I have the wrong parts or something. This is all 2nd hand info to me because I'm overseas currently. But anyways. I ordered the 31 spline 8.8 type ring and pinion in a 4.56 for my truck. That sounds correct right?

Ok so the way i got my mom to explain it is the ring gear is thicker than stock so it wasn't lining up correctly. The guy at the shop messaged me and said he contacted the company I got it from G2 i'm assuming or maybe 4 wheel parts, either one not sure, and said that they were going to machine it to make it fit correctly. He told me the 10 year warranty that comes with it will still be good. Does anyone know if this sounds correct?

I have heard of the 4.88 or bigger and sometimes the 4.56 gears needing one tooth filed a little to make the cross pin fit. Seems the tech knows what he is doing, i wouldnt worry
