Broke my driveshaft in half, what others will fit?

Hey guys. I was takin the truck out in the desert and was railin on it pretty good until the driveshaft hit the crossmember under the back of the cab and completely blew up. So yesterday I went to a junkyard and grabbed a crappy one out of a 97 and it's gonna work fine but all the ones at the junkyards have dents in them from the trucks being lifted up by a forklift. I was wondering what other years have driveshafts that would fit mine?

I'd take your broke one to a drive line shop and have the retube it. Possibly if you want to spend the extra money with thicker tube. When I did this it cost just a touch over 100 (like 120 or so).

if the ends are intact they cut those intact and replace the tubing in between. if they're not intact take 1 of your junk yard shafts down and have it re tube

Don't know if your's is aluminum or steel...cost will be effected depending material i'm sure. But yes they can retube it and if you have any length issues you can have it taken care of right then and there and have a shaft perfect for your truck. I had to do this on my explorer when i switch from the 8.8 to my 9" and did the SOA. The snout on the 9" was shorter so I needed a longer shaft (hehe).

Found this in your town

So that shop told me they can't retube it for various reasons. Do supercrew drive shafts work on extended cab short bed trucks?
