Disconnecting 4wd

So for the past 2 years almost to the day, my '02 XLT has decided to throw the right front hub assembly. No idea why. It has thrown the left front once also. My question is whether or not it would be possible to just remove the front CV shafts and still be able to drive the truck. Obviously it wouldn't have 4x4 but is there anything else? Is it even possible? I've gotten to the point where I can have the old hub assembly out and new one in in under 40 min. Not something to be proud of lol.

Just fix the bearing assembly, and trade for a 2- wheel drive.

the bearings are held together with the cv shaft.

are you torquing the bearings to spec when installing them ?

buying the cheapest bearings possible?
