Question Fuel Filter or Tranny?

I have a slight problem. I had my tranny fluid changed at valvoline, they said they knew what to put in and they looked it up. Ever since then when I accelerate it feels like, for a split second, a very noticeable split second, I can feel that the back wheels are not getting any power. It happens all the time and I think it is becoming more frequent. Is it the fuel filter (have had experiences with them on a GMC) or is it the tranny? It doesnt matter what gear I am in, it just tends to do it more in 2nd and 3rd, hardly nothing in 1st.

Thanks

I assume you've checked the tranny for the proper fluid level, so I'd say change the fuel filter as a quick & easy first step. Even if it's not the problem, it won't hurt. Since I don't trust the quickie places, I'd make sure they used the correct fluid- as noted on the dipstick (not in a book).

thanks for the reply. today after school i said to hell with it and took the truck to the ford place on the other side of town (woulda gone to the close one but their service sux) this one was Okley Keessee ford and they had great service. anyway....... i think the fuel filter fized it, i had no problem on the 50 miles i drove after that. i like the nice, cheap fixes.
