its done. Now to find a pretty looking switch. Thanks JMC! Works great. Leave it to the on position all the time unless you dont want the front axle activated.

I mounted the switch in the panel where the 4wd rotary switch would be. Now I need to find a "pretty" looking push button unit.

I tried going from 4wd then flipping the switch, still 4wd. Went from 2wd with the lever in 4hi with the switch, as expected the front is not syncronized. So do it at a stop if you are going to switch it over or go all the way out to 2hi in the lever.

Someone want to put this and the Torsion bar adjustment in the FAQs here?

It would be even nicer to modify the T-case to have a 4x2Lo. Given enough time I will figure that one out.

well you know, that was a tricky one. I will get some pics later today if people want them. Since the selenoids are rigth behind the battery and above the computer, I remove the battery and battery tray. Then moved the computer out of the way and ran the wires into the computer boot there. Then slide the computer back in. Then up and over the behind the glove box, behind the stereo and under the drivers side dash vent where the electric 4wd switch would be.

Like the suggestion at the start of the thread, I dunno why you'd want to do it, but you could...
i see someone has never broken a rear driveshaft before
