Question 4.10 or 4.56?

Right now I have 33" tires with the stock 3.55LS gears. I plan on getting 35" tires shortly, and maybe in the far future some 36". I want to get new gears so I don't have to deal with the power loss. Should I go with 4.10 or 4.56? Also, I do the occasional towing to the deer lease. Will 4.56 give me bad gas milage around town? Thanks in advance.

I suggest 4.56's. That's what I will be getting soon. If I decide to go a little taller I'll be still cover.

By my calculations (I think I'm doing this right) the 35s with the 4.10 is the same as the original 255s with a 3.63 gear and the 36s with a 4.56 is the same as the 255s with a 3.93 gear.

I have to add that by going lower (overgeared) you will compensate for some of the extra weight of the new tires.
