Axle Wrap is when the springs don't hold the axle straight when you accelerate, allowing it to twist. I wouldn't worry about it, the rear springs on the F150 are fairly stong, and axle wrap should be very minimal. If the springs were very worn out you may experience severe wrap.
Hope that helps.

Don C,

Thanks for your reply. If I read this right, it sounds like I need more torque, so I can experience this problem firsthand..

I will have to disagree, I think the springs are pretty weak, since Ford was trying for a smooth ride...I had to ad traction bars to my truck to try and stop it...still get it once in a while, depending on how hard I play. My truck is lifted but it happened before the lift too...as you can see in the photo we only have two full size spings and one little one...(4x2). DAVE

Thumbs down

If axle wrap leads to wheel hop (bed hop, truck hop, lookout it feels like the whole thing is going to shake to pieces!) then you don't need worn out spings. Mine has done it since day one. All you need to do is break traction. Mine will even start bouncing if I'm on it heavy in the rain at 30mph in second. I've never been able to do a propper burn out. The only thing that helped a little was 300 lbs of sand bags. Maybe it will get better when I get better tires.

I have the 'lightduty' with stronger springs and still had the same problem. It was really bad in rain or dirt roads. After changing to Rancho's and Hellwig rear sway bar, it eliminated about 95% of it.
