Yes. I have been dealing with 4 wheel parts center. They said I can get a number of lockers but the only way to lock it "solid" is an ARB locker. according to them the Detroit slips when turning and can slip under xtreme presure. I was told the only way a ARB slips is the tire squels. Plus they are "lock on the fly" by a switch in the cab.

Question

Are you sure they are talking about for the 9.75" rear end behind the 5.4, and not assuming it's the 8.8 rear? The only rear diff. I've heard of for our trucks is the stock Trac-Loc. I've been waiting for something to come along myself.

Thanks,

Sven

I've been using ARBs for about 2 years now. I have nothing bad to say about them. I've never had any problems, and when they're locked in, you can go about anywhere.

FYI, I just check the ARB website. No locker for the 9.75" rear end

Sorry this is a little off topic, but Fordman, you still coming to Ames for VIESHEA this year? And if you are are you going to bring your truck. If you're coming out here I thought maybe we could get together and do something. I was out the other day in the Des Moines river valley by Boone and I found some pretty cool spots.
