Post Noise in 4WD

When in 4WD around 20mph and I let of the gas pedal I hear a noise...kinda of a moan or whine but not really a vibration. No noise when I accelerate or maintain speed. Truck has 75,000 miles on it but has been well maintained. Has synthetic in tranny, front and rear diff and transfer case. The noise appears to be coming from the front of the truck....hard to tell if its transfer case ot front differential.. Never driven another F-150 so I'm not sure whats normal. Any thoughts?

I have the same problem, except it happens in both A4WD mode and 4WD, did you get it fixed and if so, what did they do?

It is pretty much a common noise in mine. It is louder in 4 Low, but still there in 4 Hi, especially during deceleration. My Jeep CJ7 makes the same noise, as did my 89 GMC 4x4. I wouldnt give it too much more thought.
