I recently installed some Warn hubs on my 93 F150. I was wondering how important the splined washer and c-clip that held it in place were. With the washer in place, the hubs would not go in enough to catch the locking ring. With the washer out, the hubs slide in perfectly. There is a another clip that attached to the outside of the shaft after the hub was in place. Just wondering what might happen without the splined washer? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
