Question What size rear end?

I'm trying to figure out what size rear end i have in my
2001 ford f150. All i know is i have 3.55 gears with a regular axel. Also does anyone know a good place to buy some gears?
I bought tires that were 2 inches taller than stock and it really hurt my acceleration, and I do a lot of towing.
I did some calculations and i need a 3.8 gear to bring me back to stock. Do you think 4.11 is too much or will it be more fun?
Any info is appreciated, Thanks!

The Ligntning and the 5.4L have a 9.75 rear end (standard or an option. Not sure which)

The rest of us receive the 8.8 rear end.

If you use eBay, it's good place for bargains but the quiality of what you'll receive is generally questionable.
