2000 F150 4X4- Where to lube?
I have a 2000 F150 4x4 Offroad. Crawling around underneath the thing I can not find one single grease fitting on the steering, driveshaft, etc. Are there any places that I can hit with the old grease gun? Also, someone said something in another topic about spraying WD40 through a grease seal?? Where?
Thanks

You might fas well retire that grease gun because there isn't anything to lube. I wouldn't worry about lubing the grease seal unless your truck developed the squeek caused by the dry seal. The seal in question is where your front halfshafts go into the spindles. Sometimes on 2 and 4 wheel drive trucks I've seen these seals make a squeeking noise, it seems to happen more to trucks that are in hot dusty conditions alot.

I have the same package, 1 place to lube, the idler arm. Hard to find fitting, but it's there....I don't know about WD40, there's a fitting on there, just use a grease gun...This is only on the 4x4, 4x2 doesn't have a fitting on the idler.
