Should I get a used 3:55 Limited slip rear end or put in gears and LS?
I was wondering what would be better, easier, and least expensive. Getting a 3:55 Limited Slip rear end from a junk yard or putting in new gears and LS into my 1999 4X2 4.6L F150 with 3:08 Open rear end? I am not too sure about all this ratio stuff but would like to better the performance and help in towing with my truck. Any help would be appreciated. Also, if I went with the used rear end.. how could I make sure that I got the exact one that I would need for my truck and with the ratio that I am looking for?

If it were me, I would have my old diff. changed. You never know what the condition of a used diff. is--when you purchase from a salvage yard. Not saying you couldn't get a good used one--it would be alot of labor if you got the wrong ratio, wrong width housing, or if you purchased a "whiner".
