My truck (2000 f-150 4x4)is doing the same thing after 12k miles. The first time I took it back, they said they made an "adjustment" and added some additive. It was fine until the next day and the grinding got worse. The truck is currently at the dealer now. I'll let you know when I get it back what they did.

Well, I got a call from the service rep. and he said that they found the problem. He said that he found a bolt stuck in my right rear tire and this was causing the shudder/grinding noise I was hearing when I turned. I could not believe he was serious. I told him there was no way a bolt was causing the whole truck to vibrate and shake while turning. He said he had two people drive the truck and they couldn't hear or feel anything. Anyway, I went to pick it up and the very first turn I made, it sounded like the wheels were going to fall off! I turned right around and made the mechanic ride with me so he could hear the noise and after he did, he immediately told me something was wrong and I took it back for the third time. This is ridiculous, I'm so frustrated with this crap.
