Or ya still learnin and gonna keep it low boost for awhile, get all the kinks out and little more life out of that 5.4?
I'm taking it to a local shop to have everything tuned right. Should be running around 10-12 lbs of boost. Hopefully the motor will last for a little bit.

We will definitely have to give this a try. You should win, you got alittle more weight and slightly more power. If I was still on the michelins I'd haver a better chance.

you should be alot heavier than me.

I guess alot depends on how much my flatbed weighs. Plus I plan on running 47" Super Swamper LTB's or 46" Baja Claws. They are alot lighter than military tires... which im sure your gonna be running. I do plan on a full size spare and a few other goodie on the flat bed so that adds alittle weight there.

More than likely I'll be alot lighter than you then.

I'll be running the michelins on the road and some 18.4X26 r2 AG's in the mud.

I'll just say this, my trucks going on a very healthy diet, and shootin for the 5,000 range

5,000 what horse power? I want my motor to be 450-550 when I'm done with it built motor and all, but that's a ways away. If you know of any god sites for 460 tech let me know.

Ohhh 5,000 pounds your doing alot of cutting then cause mt truck stock with a v6 weighed 4,500. That's a v6 regular cab short bed. After 1 tons and 46's I was close to 6,500. I know your bed is cut what else you gonna grrrr rid of to save weight?

Mine that I get the best knowledge from is 460 ford forum, theres also High performance ford forums... 460 ford forum even has a 4x4 section thats pretty cool!

And the trucks HP is still in question, I haven't figured out if my big trucks getting the built motor or my Harley. Either way ones gonna be at ~400 RWHP and the other will be ~500 RWHP before the giggle gas and after the button around 650

Some of the obvious:
ABS
A/C
EVAP
EGR
Spare and it's winch
Bumpers
Mirrors
Clutch fan
Radiator shroud, washer tank
Leaf springs

I can't tell all my secretes, but if you wanna know a few more spots you can pm me! It's still in the working it out in my head stage... And I'll wait to tell when it's more of a for sure thing.
