B.A. bumper for stepside
#16
ok get this thing outta my garage. $75 bucks and you figure out how to get if from Huntsville, Al to where ever it is it needs to go. I will be more than willing to drop it off at a shipping facility, granted it is someone close to the Huntsville area (IE Madison county). Also I have a business that it could be picked up from if you want to go that route. I need the garage space, as my motorcycles have been multipling like rabbits lately, and I'm sick of tripping over this bumper.

i like the bumper but its a little big for what im looking for. i'd like to trim the bottom off of it to make it smaller height wise, plus i'd like to keep the factory towing package. do you think this could be done? plus freight for that sucker is nuts, any chance you'll be up north anytime soon?

actually the bumper on my truck, as well as the bumper thats for sale is the 8" drop. This allows you to retain your factory reciever. You can see in my picture that I have done that. I had to buy a different (longer) reciever, but other than that, no issues.
Edit:I also wont be heading north anytime soon.

I found a way to get the shipping down. Apparently freight is designed for objects over 150 pounds and you can ship it like a regular package if it weighs less. I think it might work to thickly wrap it in plastic to give it some cushion and so it doesn't get scraped up.
I guessed the dimensions with the plastic wrap/bubble wrap would be 72 inches long, 24 inches wide and 12 inches tall. I also guessed the weight would be 130 pounds.
Can you take some measurements and weigh it to make sure I'm not way off? I think shipping UPS ground would be the best way to go. You'd probably need to call the nearest drop off center to verify that this would work.
I'm in northern Indiana at zip code 46383. Hoping you can then take it to the shipping center and have them put my address on it with a shipping label and send it on it's way. Would be willing to give you $75 for it for sure.

well right now its strapped to a pallet. And if your off, I have no way of getting it hook up to pallet. But I'll weight the whole thing and find out it is with the pallet and we will go from there. I somehow doubt they are going let us ship a bumper on their regular truck, but we'll see.

Hopefully we can get this all worked out. What would be the best way to get you the $75 for the bumper?
