What do you mean set to stock? The programmer set to stock first before I use it?

No, I mean make sure the previous owner sets it to stock BEFORE he ships it to you. If he doesn't you'll have to pay to get it unlocked.

Check out this advice from PHP. Note you might have to join their forum to view the FAQ.

That sucks, I'm sure the guy didn't go back to stock, which means now I have to deal with a big mess of sending it in, paying a fee to get it unlocked, and waiting waiting waiting....thanks for the info shotgunz

Why would you think it is not set back to stock? Most everyone that has one knows that is essential to selling it. Usually, if one is not set back to stock, it came from a wreck or was stolen. Occasionally there is a doofus that just doesn't think, but most are set back to stock.

OK, just got a message from him, says he set it back to stock, that was a fun few minutes of sweating bullets, not knowing what I am doing yet again...just hoping to set it up and it all works...along with my engine not blowing up....I read up on the article by JackandJanet about programmers, probably should have read it a while ago...amazing how many great articles have been written.

Hello!

And it's amazing how few notice. Good for you

(those are a whack of work, and those folks never get enough credit)

You'll want to ensure the unit is updated to the latest revisions & firmware.

So - now's the time to print off the manual, and dowload & install all the relevant software from Edge's site.

Cheers, sir!
