GTRider, I'm going to assume by period style wheels, you're referring to the flat gray wheels with the trapezoid holes? Being a neophyte truck person, I kinda thought those were original wheels, but at least, they keep the tires in the right place Thanks for checking it out and for the heads up on the wheels. Right now, though, my biggest concern is the left front hub, or what's left of it

I want to convert to manual hubs, but need some guidance as to where to look for info

Later...

Here is my 90 F-150 351w 4x4

I bought it from my boss who bought it new. I paid $1k dollars for it last fall.

I got it with broken power window motors, stock wheels and worn out tires, no working A/C, and needing some maintainence items.

I have installed new Soft 8 wheels with 31x10.5 Grabber AT2 tires, tinted the windows, fixed the window motors, fixed the a/c that blows COLLLD now, upgraded the stereo and speakers, replaced the worn out 8" subs behind the seat with some new stuff, all new brakes, calipers, rotors, axle bearings, a new Summit single 3" exhaust, and a few other odds and ends.

The truck itself has 180k miles it with under 50k miles on a reman engine and replacement transmission..

This fall I plan on pulling the engine for a freshening because it leaks oil terribly, also rebuilding the transfer case since it is dripping a little and is original. I'll probably do a mass air conversion, headers, and some kind of head/cam/intake combo which I have not chosen yet. I have messed with Mustangs for years so I am keen on what it takes to make the kind of power you want out of a Windsor.

The truck was repainted by the original owner, and it's nice, but just beat on enough that I am not afraid to use it as a truck.

That's about it

A/C blows cold now.. thats 35 degrees on a 90 degree humid day

Windows just tinted:

The interior will get dyed or painted black, along with a new black upholstry, and black vinyl flooring. Everything chrome or polished on the truck will eventually be a satin black as well.

And to the fella with the sidepipes, prepare for dirty wheels and tires ALL the time.
Two months and so far so good. Not a speck of dust or anything on them. Wish the front wheels were the same. Maybe some new brakes would help that.
