The nice thing about having a beater is being able to trash the thing and drive it through an auto car wash, wipe the wheels and windows, shoot some tire foam on it and end up with a decent looking ride in about 20 minutes.

Also just put all new OEM Motorcraft shocks all around, as well as installed a new amp for the subs behind the seat since my old one took a dump a few weeks ago. New door panel christmas trees, replaced a few missing interior trim screws and tightened all the rest. Actually rides shockingly smooth and quiet now! No more door panel rattle when the door is shut or when going over bumps. If it didn't get 14mpg max on a good day, I'd drive it more often.

90 F-150 351w 4x4

Dearly Departed '91

I sold this truck 8 years ago, but I figured I'd post it anyway. Ever since last year, I have had a gut feeling this truck fell victim to "cash for clunkers." I sold the truck in 2002 with 140,000 miles because I was driving 70-80 miles a day and it just seemed like the right thing to do. The 2002 Toyota Tacoma Prerunner that replaced it was my least favorite vehicle (despite being my dream truck since that model was introduced in 1998). I always regretted selling the '91.

The truck was mostly stock. It had the 302 and E4OD tranny. I did have a set of Ford Racing stainless shorty headers, hi-flow cat, and 3" single outlet exhaust running through a Dynamax muffler. I helped it inhale a little better with a K&N FIPK open element air filter. The truck ran good and would even stick with my dad's 2000 Silverado 5.3 until about 60-62 mph when that brick started catching too much wind.

Show here is when I entered the truck in a small town car show around about 2001. Honestly, the only reason I did it was because entry was free and I was able to part closer to everyone else. As a bonus, I got a free t-shirt and even won a door price (Snap-on tools fanny pack, yeah)!

Hey guys. I was just googling some pictures of 80's f150's and came across a picture from this site. I had been here before a good long time ago, but had forgotten about it. I am a member over at FTE. Thought I would throw some pictures up of my truck: 86 f150, 300 i6, c6 auto transmission, 9" ford rear with 3.50's, 32x11.5x15 cooper discoverer stt's on 15x8 american racing rims. I think that's about all of it. Showin some love for the 80's 150's! And all ford trucks for that matter.
The way I bought it:

The way it sits now:

Near future mods: Offy DP intake, Holley 465cfm 4bbl, EFI exhaust manifolds, DUI distributor, comp cams 260h and accompanying parts, leveling kit, rust/rot fix. That should cover it I believe.

My first ford. Sadly, sold to junker before it was given a chance. Won't be making that mistake twice.

And, my other love. John Deere.
